Amazon’s Kindle for Mac Beta is an application to provide the best reading experience available on your Mac. It does not require Kindle device. It means you can access Kindle books even if you don’t have your Kindle with you. This Beta version has a bug on the zooming. It does not work when you zoom the page by pressing Cmd + or Cmd -.

Other features are it automatically synchronizes your last page read and annotations between devices with Whispersync and you may create bookmarks and view the annotations you created on your Kindle.

To be able to install this app you should have Mac with following specification:

• A Mac with a 500MHz Intel processor or faster
• At least 512MB of RAM
• Screen resolution of 800×600 or greater
• Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
• 100MB of available disk space
