It seems that the panoramic way that all windows phone 7 new smartphones series interact with the various hubs may soon receive a patent. Microsoft had filed for a patent for its intuitive and graphical user interface that makes use of extended screens for handling content. The patent was filed at the end of September 2008.

Windows Phone 7 is not as good it expected. Microsoft should make a tweak on this handset so that Zune’s users are capable to enjoy the new platform. Take a look ata the picture bellow that the platform smashes the look of a smartphone with a list of application on the right.
Windows’ official announcement says that existing Windows Mobile applications can not be used for Windows Phone 7 handsets platform. This is the answer of the rumor about the compatibility cord between those two platform. Furthermore, Charlie Kindel, Microsoft Partner Group Program Manager for the Windows Phone Application Platform & Developer Experience, says:
“To enable the fantastic user experiences you’ve seen in the Windows Phone 7 Series demos so far we’ve had to break from the past.To deliver what developers expect in the developer platform we’ve had to change how phone apps were written. One result of this is previous Windows mobile applications will not run on Windows Phone 7 Series.”
Microsoft confirmed that any Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphones or older can not be upgraded to Windows Mobile 7. Smartphone like HTC HD which has WiMo 6.5 can not be upgraded, even it has the hardware requirement for WP7 like 1GHz Qualcomm processor, high-res capacitive touch display, 5 megapixel camera and 3.5mm headphone jack.
